Our Story

Our first vintage at Barons was 2001 and since day one we have been dedicated to producing world class, premium wines from the finest vineyards in Washington state. We are committed to the classic red and white grape varietals of Bordeaux, and strive to make the best expressions of them possible.

VINEYARDS

All great wines are made first in the vineyard. You cannot make world class wine with less than world class fruit. We value vine age, and have some of the oldest vines in Washington producing grapes for our wines. We also value altitude, and exposure in our vineyards, as they encourage quick drainage and produce grapes with balanced acidity. We utilize Vertical Shoot Positioning, as it encourages even ripening, free flow of winds, and allows for consistent canopy management. We seek to be good stewards of the soils and vines that give us our fruit, so that they will continue to give us our world class fruit in the future.
